How to choose the right shampoo?

Very often we choose a shampoo that does not suit us. For example, we buy a nourishing shampoo for damaged hair, the result is an oily scalp, weighed down hair and an unresolved problem. Why? Because nourishing shampoos are heavier and intended to nourish the scalp rather than the hair. You have to remember – shampoo is for the scalp and conditioner is for the hair.

Hair stylist Diana Fedorovich advises how to choose the right shampoo.

  1. Assess the amount of sebum released - how often does the scalp get oily, do you wash it often? If your head is washed every day, a nourishing shampoo will make our scalp even more difficult, so you should choose a moisturizing shampoo.
  2. If your scalp is dry, dried out from chemical, frequent dyeing of the roots, or from the sun, you should choose a nourishing shampoo or a shampoo for sensitive scalp. Do not forget that you cannot use the same shampoo in both winter and summer.
  3. If your hair is dry and your scalp gets oily quickly, choose a shampoo for oily scalp and a nourishing conditioner. Sometimes you can also perform scalp peeling, thus reducing the amount of sebum released from the scalp.
"I recommend choosing a shampoo according to the season and changing needs. After all, we change colors, seasons change, dry air in the apartment, air pollution in the countryside and in the city."
