The SKOTTSBERG® carbon steel WOK pan is valued for its many special features. The pan is coated with vegetable oil and reacts like a non-stick pan. In addition, the bottom of the pan is the perfect thickness (2.5 mm) so that the bottom of the WOK pan does not warp during heating. The pan handle is hollow and does not absorb heat from the pan.
This WOK pan can withstand high temperatures, making it perfect for frying vegetables, fish, meat, potatoes or Asian dishes. This carbon steel pan heats up quickly and uses little fat to cook meat. The pan is sturdy and suitable for any heat source. Cooking by induction or in the oven is not a problem for this pan.
Using the pan: To prevent food from sticking to the bottom, it is important to follow these instructions: Before cooking, take the ingredients out of the refrigerator to bring them to room temperature. Place the pan on the heat source. Allow the pan to heat slowly over low heat. Add oil or butter only when the pan is hot. Melt the butter until it stops foaming or until the oil is warm. Let the ingredients that stick to the bottom cook gently without trying to loosen them.
