The MINISFORUM N5 Air offers exceptionally flexible storage options. Five SATA 3.0 bays support 3.5" and 2.5" drives with capacities up to 30 TB each, while three M.2 2280/22110 NVMe PCIe 4.0 slots allow for high-speed SSD installation with capacities up to 8 TB each. Together, these allow for a total system capacity of up to 174 TB. Support for RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, and RAID 6 lets you tailor the configuration to your specific needs, whether prioritizing maximum speed or advanced data protection.
The device features two SO-DIMM slots supporting up to 96 GB of DDR5 Non-ECC memory clocked at 5600 MT/s, ensuring rapid data access even under heavy workloads. Additional expansion possibilities are provided by an internal PCIe 4.0 x16 (electrically x4) connector and an OCuLink port, allowing for the connection of specialized expansion cards and external accessories.
Dual LAN ports with 10GbE and 5GbE bandwidth provide ultra-fast data transfer across your local network, which is essential when handling large files, creating backups, or streaming high-bitrate media. MinisCloud OS offers advanced data management, including support for the ZFS file system, snapshots for data loss protection, and real-time LZ4 compression. The system also supports Docker containers with user isolation and secure remote access, while also allowing for the installation of Windows 11 Pro or Linux.
The chassis includes two USB4 ports with DisplayPort 2.0 support, two USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, a USB 2.0 port, HDMI 2.1, and an OCuLink connector. This allows for the connection of up to three monitors with resolutions up to 8K at 60 Hz. The enclosure, measuring 199 × 202 × 252 mm, features a slide-out design that facilitates easy access for drive and memory upgrades.
