Smell : warm, vanilla, amber with a balsamic note.
The resin obtained from blue styraca trees has long been used in Southeast Asia for cosmetic purposes for the care of dry, chapped, irritated, damaged skin. Recommended as an adjuvant for damaged skin. In the 19th century, during the Victorian era, the sweet vanilla aroma of benzoin accompanied noblewomen, as a spirit extract of benzoin and lavender was extremely popular as a means of rejuvenating the skin.
Benzoin absolute forms an ultra-thin glossy film, so it is used in hair, nail and even toothpaste to give it an exceptional shine.
Benzoin absolute has become very popular in perfumery as a scent fixer, giving compositions a warm, balsamic note. The absolute solid itself must be diluted with alcohol before use in perfumery or elsewhere, so we offer a 50% solution. When used as a scent fixer, simply add drop by drop until you get the desired effect.
Usage :
✓ for skin and hair care - mix 4-10 drops of absolute with 10 g of base (e.g. spirit, base oil - almond, jojoba, etc.)
✓ for natural perfumes - there are no restrictions, we recommend starting with 1 drop and finishing when the desired result is achieved.
✓ not suitable for nebulizers and vaporizers.
Contraindications : do not use in case of individual intolerance. Before use, it is necessary to check whether the absolute inhaled or applied to the skin will not cause an individual allergic reaction!
