Due to its properties and exotic aroma, sandalwood essential oil is widely used in the production of cosmetics and perfumery. Sandalwood essential oil is good for moisturizing aging, dry, chapped skin. This oil has a positive effect on the smoothing of skin wrinkles, especially under the eyes.
Due to its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, sandalwood essential oil is used as an auxiliary tool in the treatment of various skin problems: it soothes irritated skin, reduces itching and skin inflammation, restores skin elasticity, and helps reduce swelling caused by insect bites. Apply pure sandalwood oil or mixed with any vegetable oil (1:1 ratio) to the itchy skin area. Massage :
Mix 4-6 drops of sandalwood oil or a mixture of oils with 1 tbsp. spoon of any vegetable oil (jojoba, almond, etc.) or cream of your choice.
Bathrooms :
6-7 drops of sandalwood oil or a mixture of oils mixed with 1 tbsp. I call for milk, honey, sea or table salt to be added to a bath filled with water. The duration of the procedure is 10 - 20 minutes.
Room aromatization :
Add 4-5 drops of sandalwood essential oil or one of the oil mixtures to an aromatic lamp filled with water and light the candle in the lamp. The aroma will spread in the room. If you don't have an aroma lamp, you can put the essential oil on a napkin or add it to a cup of hot water and place it on a radiator. The duration of the procedure is 15 - 30 minutes. When suffering from anxiety and insomnia, especially elderly people, it is enough to put 1 drop of sandalwood oil on a pillow or napkin.
