The D8 Hybrid is designed for efficient management of various types of data. The TerraMaster D8 Hybrid offers hardware support for SINGLE DISK, JBOD, RAID 0, and RAID 1 modes. Depending on the selected mode, users can boost performance or focus on protecting important data. An additional advantage is the automatic RAID rebuild feature, which enhances the security of stored files.
Thanks to support for USB 3.0, USB 3.1, USB 3.2, USB4, Thunderbolt 3, and Thunderbolt 4 standards, the enclosure works seamlessly with a wide range of computers and devices. Support for the NTFS, APFS, EXT4, FAT32, and exFAT file systems enables convenient data exchange between different platforms. The exFAT format is particularly useful, as it supports large files and allows for easy transfer between Windows, macOS, and NAS devices. Since no additional drivers need to be installed, the device is ready to use immediately after connection.
Despite its ability to support eight storage drives, the TerraMaster D8 Hybrid remains compact and operates at a low noise level of approximately 21 dB(A). Effective cooling is provided by an intelligently controlled 120 mm fan that automatically adjusts its speed based on the device’s temperature. This helps maintain stable operating conditions even during intensive use of the storage. Additionally, the disk sleep function helps reduce power consumption during periods of inactivity.
